My Journey
I first witnessed birth at the age of 18. At that time, I felt all I had to offer the mother was my witness of her journey. Immediately I knew I wanted to have the tools needed to support women more fully through this transformative experience of birth. In 2010, I graduated college bound for medical school. However, I soon became pregnant and dove into the type of maternal healthcare I wanted to receive. Sometime during early motherhood, I began serving other women and found so much fulfillment helping with fertility issues, walking alongside in bereavement, supporting through pregnancy and postpartum, and offering herbal remedies. This became a natural stepping stone to my passion for midwifery care.
I honor birth as an incredible, natural process which our bodies and our babies innately know how to navigate in divine partnership. Birth should be approached holistically, accompanied by the belief that all the pieces of our being are deeply interconnected. My aim as a midwife is to offer unbiased information so individuals can make the best decisions for their bodies, their babies, and their families. I strive to meet individuals where they are to provide each woman with personalized support. It is an honor to be a part of these sacred, life-altering moments. Thank you for being here and considering Matriarch Midwifery.
